The South Carolina Cyber Foundation is a nonprofit organization formed under the South Carolina Nonprofit Organization Code. The purpose of the foundation is to promote the innovative, intelligent and creative uses of exposing cyber opportunities through educational avenues. The foundation goals are realized through the hosting of several programs and projects including an annual cybersecurity summit.
To provide a venue to celebrate and recognize best practices in the implementation of educating the next generation of cyber-capable professionals, SCCF founded the annual Cyber Innovative Teaching Program (CITP) Awards. Each year schools and districts are recognized for outstanding examples of how they have integrated cybersecurity into their schools and curriculum and thereby enhancing education in K-12 within the state.
The South Carolina Cyber Foundation also serves as the State's center for cyber education and outreach. One of the cross-platform programs we support is the annual Kids Safe Online MS-ISAC Poster Contest. The 2018 contest opens on October 1, 2018.
This year the SCCF is proud to also be a partner with the South Carolina Cyber Association and its partnering with the US and SC Chambers of Commerce to host the 3rd annual cybersecurity summit in Greenville, SC.
