What is the SOUTH CAROLINA CYBER ASSOCIATION?

Mission: At CYBERSC we are leading the advancement of cybersecurity through advocacy and collaboration.

The South Carolina Cyber Association (CyberSC) is a statewide, 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization established in 2018. CyberSC was originally created to drive the growth of South Carolina's cybersecurity industry. Today, we grow and serve the cybersecurity ecosystem through advocacy, education and building community.

We are a trusted community for companies that view cybersecurity as a strategic issue to receive actionable resources and connect with their peers.

Strategy: Connect cybersecurity companies with businesses and government entities seeking cybersecurity products and services. Connect cybersecurity job seekers in Maryland and beyond with jobs and resources for gaining the skills, education and certifications needed for jobs of interest. Create and share resources to entities in need of cybersecurity guidance, expertise or awareness. Provide subject matter experts through our Speakers Bureau for partners requiring training, panelists, conference facilitators or keynote speakers.

CyberSC's Online Directory of Cybersecurity Providers

CyberSC hosts a statewide online directory of cybersecurity providers (Cybersecurity Company Directory) at www.cybersc.us along with an online Associates Directory of businesses and organizations providing support and resources to South Carolina's cybersecurity industry. Both directories are searchable by keywords, industry sectors and more. The Cybersecurity Company Directory is also searchable by special designations associated with the cybersecurity companies, designations like woman-owned, MBE certified, veteran-owned, minority-owned, 8a certified and HubZone located. There is no fee for cybersecurity companies to be listed in CyberSC's online Cybersecurity Company Directory. Companies must complete and submit an online application to be considered for the Directory. Each application is reviewed for eligibility before being approved for the Directory.

CyberSC Events and Programs

CyberSC hosts or partners with other organizations to co-host programs and events each year to provide:

  • relevant and educational cybersecurity information for cybersecurity companies, general businesses of all sizes, government entities, nonprofits, academic institutions and at times, students and job seekers
