UNDERSTANDING TARGETED CYBER ATTACKS (AWR 376)

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course provides participants with a strong understanding of how targeted cyber attacks, including advanced persistent threats (APTs), occur. Attendees will learn how to prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from these types of cyber incidents.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the phases of targeted cyber attacks

• Understand attacker methods and techniques

• Apply strategies for prevention, mitigation, and response

• Strengthen organizational cybersecurity planning and readiness

SCOPE

Participants will receive threat-specific, actionable training that fills a major gap in community-level cybersecurity readiness. The course focuses on the full lifecycle of targeted attacks, attacker methods used at each stage, and practical tactics organizations can use to strengthen preparedness.
