Fighting Cybercrime: Is Your Organization a Soft Target?

Tuesday, October 29 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.

Presented by the University of South Carolina School of Law's
Cybersecurity Legal Task Force.

Federal prosecutors and investigators have been at the forefront in the ongoing fight against cybercrime.  U.S. businesses, organizations and financial institutions have been the targets of a variety of cyber-attacks -- from nation-state intrusions involving economic espionage to transnational organized cybercrime groups engaged in business email compromises, ransomware and other malware-related attacks.

In this webinar, representatives from the United States Attorney community and the Federal Bureau of Investigation will explore the current global threat landscape, the efforts of federal law enforcement to combat these threats, and best practices for mitigating the risks associated with the threats.

This webinar will also discuss the new guidelines for preventing a ransomware attack published by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
